Defines the availability of a product based on units or only by availability.
Stock Availability provides a rich level of information about your product’s stock availability. Attract buyers' attention with eye-catching alerts and start boosting sales. Sometimes it may be necessary to display the product availability in the presentation layer; it can be displayed in figure format (number of units) or in text format (description of availability). If text is used, it must be defined according to ranges. An example of an availability definition could be: if there are more than 10 units available, the system should display In stock; if there are between 5 and 10, it should display Few units; and if there are between 1 and 4, it should display Last units. As you can create as many availability definitions as you need, you can link to each product which one to use, but to avoid having to do it explicitly, you can define a default availability in a general way.
A Commerce may want to hide in the presentation layer the products that are out of stock because they are items that it cannot sell. For this reason, there is the Show out-of-stock products feature; when enabled, all products are shown; if disabled, the product will be visible as long as it is in stock, but, once out of stock, it will be hidden.
Unlock your Commerce potential with these two powerful advantages
Customizable
Unmatched flexibility in displaying messages to your customers. You can establish logical rules for displaying one message or another depending on a defined quantity of stock. For example, if you have less than 5 units of a product in stock, you could show a message saying "Only a few left in stock. Buy now before it runs out!" or other phrases inviting the user to add the product to their shopping cart.
Urgency to buy
With stock availability messages you create urgency to buy. If customers see low availability, you’ll be urging them to buy before the product runs out, leading to increased sales.
