Mailchimp Marketing Automation is a Mailchimp feature that allows you to automate your email marketing campaigns. With Marketing Automation, you can schedule and send emails that are designed to automatically respond to actions your subscribers took.   

For example, if a subscriber has added a product from your online store to their cart, but has not yet made a purchase, you can set up an autoresponder to send an email with a shopping cart discount offer. If a subscriber hasn't interacted with your emails within a certain time frame, you can automatically schedule a follow-up email to encourage them to interact with your brand again.

The Mailchimp plugin manages user subscriptions to the newsletter list.    

When a user registers via the purchase form, he can subscribe to the Mailchimp newsletter list configured to the Plug-in.   

In order to use the Mailchimp Automation Plug-in, it is necessary to use the Mailchimp Plug-in together. 

The Mailchimp automation plugin manages the orders placed. It is the implementation of eCommerce Stores in your API, it acts during the checkout process, when a shopping cart is created, when products are added and when the purchase is completed.  

  • Shopping cart: A shopping cart is created in Mailchimp. When an action is performed on the shopping cart, whether it is adding, modifying or deleting products, Mailchimp is notified of the contents of the cart. URL for abandoned cart is added.  

  • Products: Each of the products that are added to the shopping carts in Mailchimp, a product is created in the system equivalent to the one we have in LogiCommerce.  

  • Orders: When an order is completed, a new order is generated in Mailchimp.  

  • Stores: During the Plug-in configuration, a new store is generated in Mailchimp, all shopping carts, products and orders will be related to this store (by identifier).  

To be able to manage all this data, the user who makes the purchase must be hosted on the website and must also be subscribed to the Mailchimp newsletter list. All this data will be linked to a Mailchimp contact list (audience) already configured in the Plug-in. With this data you can perform automations in Mailchimp related to shopping carts and orders.
