Each of the products can be configured to allow the following:

Reserve provision: Once the normal stock is depleted, units of the product can be sold as units in reserve, but at most only the quantity that has been entered in the supply can be reserved. Once all the units in the stock have been reserved, the product cannot be sold (the system does not allow you to add it to the shopping cart).

No reserve provision: Once the normal stock is depleted, units of the product can be sold as units in reserve without any quantity limit. The products that support the No reserve supply mode are those that the Commerce wants to be sold as reserve, without restriction of units and without imposing an entry date. The Commerce is committed to replenish that stock because it knows it will have more, but does not want or cannot say when it will arrive or in what quantity.

On demand: This characteristic requires a complementary characteristic, Time to Demand, which indicates how many days it takes to prepare the product. The concept of products on demand encompasses those products that must be manufactured or ordered from the supplier, as required. If a user buys a product that has the On Demand feature enabled, two things can happen: there is stock and the purchase is normal (products on demand can be in stock) or there is not enough stock to meet the demand. In this case, the system will return the waiting days you have configured, which can be displayed to inform the user of the situation.
